Gil C. Rohde, Jr.

Chief Operating Officer

Gil C. Rohde, Jr. joined Austin Mutual in August of 2011 as Chief Operating Officer (COO).  Mr. Rohde has over 30 years of executive experience in the insurance industry.  Most recently Mr. Rohde was CEO/Director of Security American Financial Services (SAFE), a life and health insurance holding company that owns two life and health operating companies writing ancillary life and health insurance benefit in all 50 states.  Prior to Safe, Gil has over 20 years of executive experience with Property and Casualty insurance companies including, President/ CEO/director of Mendota Insurance companies, V.P of Personal Lines Milwaukee Insurance Group, and President/director of Alpha Property and Casualty and Family Insurance Corporation.

Gil holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.  He also has designations from the Insurance Institute of America in Management (AM) and Research and Planning (ARP).  Gil also attended Advanced Executive Education Program at Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.  He earned a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University Of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
